Will the generally good times for investors in risky assets such as equities from 1950-2020 repeat themselves going forward? Or should most investors brace themselves for decades of disappointment? What role does the rise of inflation and the emergence of war in Europe play? The answers to these questions are difficult – but they are central for individuals and society at large. The pension system and more broadly our future way of life depend on them.

In this «Crisis Conference Call», we will discuss these and other issues with Professor Joachim Voth of the University of Zurich, who is a globally known leading authority on economic and financial history. There is also an opportunity for video call participants to ask questions.

He has received some of the most prestigious prizes in the academic world, including the Albert Hirschman Award, the Alexander Gerschenkron Prize, and the Gino Luzzatto Prize.
